Job Summary :
The person hired for the position of Diversified Adhesives Production Operator will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:
- Operating process and support equipment in various production work centers to manufacture adhesive products
- Performing all required tasks for chemical reactors, mixers, hold tanks, rubber mills, and packaging/filling equipment
- Working with chemicals and powders while wearing appropriate protective equipment
- Demonstrating safe work behaviors to avoid injury to self or others
- Following operating procedures and customer specifications to produce quality products which are delivered to customers on time
- Working effectively within a production work team and collaborate with other teams
- Contributing to continuous improvement and problem solving
- Maintaining neat and orderly conditions in area and help maintain and promote safe conditions
- Operating assigned equipment in a safe, effective, and efficient manner
- Operating processes according to procedures
- Taking appropriate action when unusual conditions occur
- Using hand and power trucks
- Using computers as needed to run process operation
- Monitoring other operations and works cooperatively with others
This position will require:
- Working overtime
- Weekend work
- Working holidays as needed
- Short notice call in
- Working either 2nd, 3rd and/or rotating shift depending on shift availability
Basic Qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
- Minimum two (2) years of previous work or military experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in manufacturing and/or distribution environment
- One (1) year of experience performing data entry tasks
- Agriculture/farming or mechanical experience
- Computer/keyboarding skills
- Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions
