Salary: $18.50 to $22.00 depending on experience and knowledge.
This role is responsible for the following processes at a Salt Packaging Facility:
Maintain all equipment in plant (including, but not limited to gear boxes, motors, conveyors, bagging equipment, etc., and mobile equipment.
Assist with Cargill Salt M&R initiatives
Do preventative maintenance on all equipment as required
Principal Accountabilities:
Assist with Cargill Salt M&R initiatives
Assist with maintenance shop organization
Assist with Asset Criticality and Critical Spare part identification
Assist with development of lubrication schedules
Maintain all equipment in plant (including, but not limited to gear boxes, motors, conveyors, bagging equipment, etc.)
Do preventative maintenance on all equipment as required
Grease equipment/bearings, etc.
Replace gear boxes/motors/chains
Install equipment as needed
Redesign equipment/processes as needed
Trouble shoot all equipment (pneumatic, electrical and mechanical)
Weld
Operate hand tools
Keep written and/or electronic records of maintenance tasks as required (Use of Maximo maintenance mgmt system).
Service loaders/forklifts as needed
Replace lights
Miscellaneous projects (construction/demolition/etc.)
Maintain all housekeeping requirements
No relocation offered for this position.
Required:
Verifiable evidence of maintenance experience and knowledge (industrial, military, contractor, schooling, etc)
Be physically able to perform the job duties including bending, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, working at heights up to 100 feet, lifting, working in confined spaces, using respirators and working at high temperatures.
Be willing and able to attend job related training and educational classes (i.e.: PM, PdM, Precision Maintenance, etc) outside of normal working hours and achieve ratings/marks which indicate satisfactory understanding of the job requirements. This may include travel overnight or multiple nights.
Available & willing to work any shift (including weekends and holidays), demonstrate willingness to work extended hours and be available for call outs.
Have a valid driver's license.
Demonstrated positive attitude toward/interest in safety and safe work rules.
Able to read/write English.
Demonstrated ability to follow directions.
Pass general written and hands on maintenance tests demonstrating both mechanical and electrical knowledge .
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
Preferred:
Demonstrated self-initiative, ownership and drive.
Demonstrated ability to be a positive team player.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and listen well.
