Description

Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor manages and coordinates the activities of production personnel engaged in packaging beverage products for storage & shipment, including providing leadership, direction and facilitation on multiple high speed production lines.Join the team at Dr Pepper Snapple Group and make a difference by pursuing everything that you do with the determination that sets us apart from our competitors. Shift and Schedule

This is a full time permanent position that requires the flexibility to work on either the 1st or 2nd shift based on the production schedule and business needs. Our 1st shift starts promptly at 4:30am and our 2nd shift starts at 3:30pm with the average shift lasting between 10 and 11 hours. Flexibility to work either shift is required. Production Supervisors can expect to work between 45 and 55 hours per week based on the production schedule.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Direct and coach production operators in the execution of daily/weekly production schedules for multiple packaging lines.
  2. Manage within labor and operating expense budget.
  3. Coordinate beverages packaging ensuring safety, quality and productivity while minimizing waste.
  4. Meet the productivity, quality, safety, health, environmental and morale goals established for the site.
  5. Complete and update all necessary production paperwork and record.
  6. Ensure equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are safe at all times.
  7. Review and analyze production records to identify opportunities for improvement.
  8. Make recommendations for long term solutions, including recommendations for replacing equipment, refurbishing equipment, procedural changes, productivity improvement, material change, etc., related to the area of accountability.
  9. Drive the continuous improvement agenda in area of responsibility through teamwork, skills and capability development.
  10. Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
  11. Manage and facilitate employee and management relationship within the guidelines of the labor contract and company policy.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 3 years experience in a high speed manufacturing environment with 3 years previous management / supervisory experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field
  • 1 year previous mechanical/electrical experience
  • Work flexible shifts, weekend and overtime as business needs arise
