About this job

Assembles mattresses and box springs units using established work instructions.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembles mattress and box springs units per established work instructions using a variety of pneumatic tools (e.g. c-ring hog-ring guns, staple guns, hot glue guns, nail guns).



Prepares and organizes components for final assembly and restock raw materials at point of use.



Inspects mattress components and finished units for unacceptable flaws or structural defects.



Performs all duties according to established safety and efficiency procedures and maintains workstation in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.



Assembles box spring units per established work instructions using a variety of pneumatic tools (e.g. staple guns, nail guns).



Retrieves wooden frame from stack and places on second table, lifts grid from assembly table and inverts on frame to be assembled.



Inspects finished unit for unacceptable flaws or structural defects and repairs wooden frames as needed.



REQUIREMENTS: 



Basic English reading/writing skills



High school graduate or equivalent



Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen



Work experience in a manufacturing environment required. Experience with pneumatic tools and/or in a manufacturing environment preferred



Must stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day or longer in overtime situations as required



Must be able to lift heavy product or raw materials up to 120 pounds multiple times per hour (heavy loads must be team lifted)
