We expect great things from you - and you should expect a great experience with us Job Summary Join us to as liaison between finance and operational business areas, in calculating and compiling forecast data. You'll partner with Operations, HR, Workers Compensation and Safety to ensure that forecasted data is accurate, reasonable, and that forecast assumptions are documented appropriately. Responsible for researching and reporting and making recommendations regarding variances between actual and forecast/budget to Sr. Management. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Monthly Forecast Cycle - 70% Partner with individual branch managers and others to prepare monthly forecasted hours, bill rates, pay rates, etc. Document major assumptions that drive each forecast and prepare variance analysis from previous forecasts and budget where necessary. Compile forecasted data into master forecasted sales and cost of sales forecast and prepare variance analysis from previous forecasts and budget where necessary. Prepares forecast of general & administrative expenses. Prepare monthly forecast presentation for senior management. Weekly Actual vs Forecast - 20% Analyze variances between actual and forecasted results and prepares summary of explanations for weekly meetings. Prepare weekly high level monthly forecast of general & administrative expenses. Coordinates annual budget process - 5% Support controller in creating branch managers and others to compile core budget assumptions. Prepare budget for general & administrative expenses. Document major assumptions that drive the budget and prepare variance analysis from previous year results where necessary. Compile master budget and summary presentation. Other reporting and forecast-related - 5% Act as back-up for certain accounting and reporting roles where necessary Assist with ad hoc actual and forecasted reporting Basic Qualifications: Bachelors' Degree Required Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles. Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion is required Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problem Strong presence with ability to interact with Senior Leadership.
