Job Summary
Performs data entry, initiates inventory control tasks, generates reports, and maintains process files for the Laboratory. Works independently, receiving a minimum amount of supervision and guidance on established laboratory procedures. Uses judgment when reviewing paperwork for completeness and accuracy. Must have a working knowledge of department practices and procedures, laboratory and sampling protocol, chemical terminology, and manifesting. Uses data base and spreadsheet computer applications.

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Receives waste samples, generates Waste Analysis Report (WAR), assigns and maintains sample tracking and data entry for Laboratory.
Contacts operations technician to pick up paperwork when analytical testing is completed and disposal paperwork is approved, when required.
Generates numerous reports, establishes and maintains section files, logs and records.
Make and file approval folders.
Responsible for inventory control function including researching potential products and vendors, initiating requisitions, and ordering supplies, equipment, PPE, chemicals, furniture, printing, etc.
Assists Technicians and Chemist with laboratory procedures, by performing Tech I level parameters.
Maintains housekeeping in work area.
Performing other duties as assigned.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Required: High school diploma or GED, plus one (1) year experience in the waste disposal business with emphasis on waste code utilization. High school chemistry or equivalent laboratory experience preferred.
Preferred: High school diploma or GED, plus one (1) year experience in the waste disposal business with emphasis on waste code utilization. High school chemistry or equivalent laboratory experience preferred. Data entry skill = 30 WPM.
