Responsibilities:
The Packaging Technician will work on a fast paced, team oriented packaging line to assure the proper labeling and packaging of products in careful compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and established operating procedures. The incumbent may assist in other areas, such as aseptic filling, as required by the production schedule. This position will perform the following duties and other tasks as needed: Perform standard Packaging Operations Move product from a holding area to a packaging line Set up all packaging components, i.e., cartons, boxes, etc. Set up and operation of automated and semi-automated machinery Checks label application for proper coding and correct placement on the vial Pack labeled vials into cartons and cases Perform documentation as required by department Standard Operating Procedures Verify product count with paperwork and record information on all records involved
Qualifications:
Required Experience and Skill: Analytical, scientific, and mechanical troubleshooting skills required Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Basic computer skills Ability to lift 50 lbs on an intermittent basis Ability to pull pallet jacks up to 1000 pounds, with a hand truck Desired Experience and Skills Minimum 1 year relevant machine operating experience Strong attention to detail and documentation skills required Experience with SAP materials management systems desired Working knowledge of aseptic technique and procedures preferred Awareness of USDA regulations or SOP's, SPP's, Safety, and Quality regulations Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and/or Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems

Under direction of the Supervisor, this position will work on a fast paced, team oriented line performing production procedures in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This position will perform the following functions and other tasks, as needed: * Operate production equipment, including start up, minor adjustments, and quality monitoring as required * Responsible for complete and accurate documentation * Clean and sanitize work areas as necessary, in accordance with SOPs"
Qualifications:
Relevant manufacturing experience (1-3 Years); Analytical, scientific, and mechanical trouble shooting skills; Good written and verbal communication skills; Good computer skills; Strict attention to detail and safety; Ability to lift 25 pounds on an intermittent basis. Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and/or Human Machine Interface (HMI) preferred; Working knowledge of aspectic technique; Understanding and awareness of USDA regulations, SOP's, and SPP's.
