Primary Responsibilities
- Managing and leading a virtual team.
- Provide strong leadership and judgment
- Lead in a matrix organization
- Create a team oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies
- Effectively maintain and build relationships across business groups
- Business planning and execution.
- Driving the strategic agenda for the team, managing team workload, ensuring that team objectives align with and support the UnitedHealth Networks strategic focused agenda.
- Interface and collaborate with UHN senior leadership on a regular basis regarding network administration related activities and projects.
- Presentations to senior leadership.
- Working with legal and business partners to ensure contracting tools, provider guides and policies are available in order to meet market and strategic objectives. .
- Ensuring appropriate review and vetting of network policies and procedures, as well as managing network policies and procedures within the SPARK application.
- Establish, attain and sustain service and operational performance metrics and indicators.
- Drive compliance with contracting policies through training, support, and data collection and communication activities
- Managing provider administrative guides, including annual and ad hoc updates, as well as driving strategic best practicing.
- Driving analysis and consolidation of provider administrative guides enterprise-wide.
- Managing special projects, as business needs require.
- A minimal amount of travel may be required with this position (<10%).
- The successful candidate will be able to work across department and functional lines. They will be able to manage through influence. A successful candidate will have a track record of program simplification/program improvement and innovation.

- Impact of work is most often at the local level.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ years of experience in Managed Care working with Medicare and/or Medicaid.
- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word experience required (Excel -creating spreadsheets, advanced formulas and tables. PowerPoint - the ability to create decks from scratch. Word - Creating and editing correspondence).
- Experience working with legal and business partners to ensure contracting tools, provider guides and policies are available in order to meet market and strategic objectives.
- Experience making presentations to senior leadership.
- Master's Degree.
- Regulatory or compliance experience.
