About this job

POSITION PURPOSE -
This position is will be responsible for specific processes related to HR administration including, but not limited to, FMLA , DO T, background checks, new hire packets, orientation, and LOA documentation, certification, tracking, and reporting.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
Administration of FMLA Assists Associates in clarification of HD programs and processes.
Provides support to Associates in resolution of payroll and benefits issues.
File maintenance and responding to documentation requests
Maintains and orders department supplies, copying, and project support

NATURE AND SCOPE -
Typically reports to a Mgr Human Resources
No direct responsibility for supervising others.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Located in a comfortable indoor area.
Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must pass the Background Check.
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 2

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office software.Good written and verbal skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidential information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
Previous experience in administering the FMLA
Previous experience in Human Resources

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
Knowledge of FMLA regulations and HD policy
Attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, Company e-mail)
Ability to judge when issues need to be escalated to management
