Position Summary:
Established in 1981, EASi is headquartered in Troy, Michigan with engineering centers in Gahanna, Ohio and Tulsa, Oklahoma. The two offices provide engineering and design support for electrical utility transmission systems ranging from 12kV to 765kV. The projects can be for new system construction or existing system augmentation or refurbishing.

The position falls within the Transmission Department of the organization. The engineer will be working with senior engineers to complete projects that support our utility customer with minimum direction. They will work with in-house and client engineers and designers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the engineering and design activities related to transmission line design such as engineering analysis and design, route selection, material acquisition, structural and foundation design, and project and construction management
* Prepare project construction documents such as: plan and profile drawings; design drawings; engineering, material, and construction specifications; project schedules and bills of material
* Develop project design alternatives and corresponding cost estimates
* Design new transmission facilities with voltages ranging from 69kV and 765kV
* Utilize PLS-CADD to model transmission line design project.
* Attend contractor bid and construction meetings and assist in ensuring that work activities are performed safely and in accordance with plans and established schedules, and in accordance with policies, rules and standards, and in compliance with external regulations
* Coordinate effectively with governmental and regulatory agencies and contractors to secure project permit
* Provide leadership to facilitate project completion, to train and mentor other engineers, and to develop measurable work area goals and objectives
* Work under supervision of Transmission III, IV, and Senior Engineers
* Position will require occasional site visits
