2nd Shift Set up Operator/Slitter

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a 2nd Shift Set up Operator/Slitter.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

A growing Steel company in the Shelby Township area is currently looking for a 2nd shift Set up Operator. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience, a strong manufacturing background and be able to work a 2nd shift. This manufacturer primarily supports Automotive industry and has grown tremendously. They have a great company culture and believe in promoting within! Duties include but not limited to: Fully participate and support the Quality System Comply with Safety requirements Entering cut data into the tooling program to generate set-up specifications for arbors and over and under separator arms Modify set-up for deviations due to steel gauge, type and, when specified on the Work Order, special customer requirements Oversee set -up of separator arms Examine tooling for signs of wear or need for replacement Handle tooling to prevent damage Keep work area clean Report any quality concerns, including stopping production to prevent a non-conformance , to the immediate supervisor Qualifications include: 6 months experience setting up arbors for steel slitting equipment preferred Must be mechanically inclined Must be familiar with mics, cals gages etc...
