Machinist II 2nd Shift
Under moderate supervision, will set up and operate manual equipment such as CNC machining equipment, drill press, hand mill, hand lathe, planers, or shapers. Sets up and operates a variety of grinding machines to perform quantity production grinding. Includes grinding compound angles, internal and external spherical radii, threads, contours and long exact tapers on products, parts and assemblies or tools. At the intermediate level, follows defined procedures and processes using various equipment in order to complete tasks.
Minimum of 7 yrs. of CNC setup and machining experience.
Moderate knowledge of CNC programs a must.
Must be able to check complicated parts with compound angles.
Must have extensive experience in reading blueprints and using work instructions.
