ANALYTICS SOFTWARE DEVELOPER -- TUCSON, AZ BASE PREFERRED BUT WILL CONSIDER REMOTE BASE EMPLOYEES

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In collaboration with the Advanced Analytics Team Members, develop data integrations, develop and maintain Patient-Centric Analytics Data Warehouse including updates to data models, build and maintain services to existing NLP and Medical Coding products, support data scientists by providing research data sets, interact with data scientists to develop production services derived from statistical models.

* Develop, test and maintain web service and message processing HTTP feeds using JSON and XML.

* Collaborate with data scientists to translate research models into design and implementation of production services.

* Design, develop, and implement new methods for Master Patient Index

* Update data models to account for new data feeds into Analytics Data Warehouse

* Understand computational and statistical techniques used to develop novel approaches for data analyses

* Partner with the stakeholders to understand the business drivers and identify solutions.

* Maintains appropriate knowledge of clinical and financial systems used across the healthcare continuum.

* Translate and effectively communicate complex concepts to a broad audience.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors or Masters in Computer Sciences and/or 8-10 years of experience in software development.

REQUIRED SKILLS

* Strong service development skills

* Advanced SQL skills

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Strong understanding of Healthcare data

* Strong Programming skills and experienced with object oriented languages

PREFERRED SKILLS

* InterSystems Cache Programming background including Ensemble and Deep See

* Experience with JSON, XML, etc.

* Experience with HL7 and CCD formats

* Experience with scripting language

* Experience with large transactional data sets and high volume data

Comfortable with fast paced interactive development methodologies
