Medi-Cal Hospital Billing Manager - Bakersfield, CA

The Government Manager will manage all billing and the Government Team who bills and collects on Medicare, Medi-Cal and government sponsored HMO account receivables.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Ensures a high percentage of clean claims, and monies are collected expediently, in the correct amounts, and within the contracted reimbursement rates


• Requires in depth knowledge of regulatory billing compliance


• Familiarity with Government audit processes such as MAC & RAC

Required Qualifications:   

• 
  

  High School Diploma/GED 



• 
  

  Minimum of five (5) years of experience providing leadership related to the hospital claims billing and collection of government accounts   



• 
  

  Advanced knowledge of hospital accounts receivable, with focus on Medicare and Medi-Cal billing and coverage   



• 
  

  Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)   

Preferred Qualifications:   

• 
  

  Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience   



• 
  

  Experience with Managed Care is a plus.



• 
  

  Excellent experience in Accounting systems in a multi-facility environment, including familiarity with Meditech/MS4
