The Appeals & Grievances Intake Coordinator is responsible for monitoring incoming correspondence from health care providers and members.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and retrieve documents from various applications
  • Identify urgency of incoming correspondence
  • Identify member information
  • Enter data into workflow tool
  • Create electronic document for entry into image repository
  • Scanning of physical documentation 
  • Identify and re-direct mis-routed documents to appropriate department
  • Meet established productivity, schedule adherence and quality standards
  • Provide administrative support for telecommuting staff

Requirements

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of experience in an office setting environment using the
    telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
  • Beginner level of experience with MS Word and Excel.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Will need to be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Soft Skills:
  • Prior stable work experience
  • Strong communication/telephone skills
  • Sound decision making skills
