IT Program Engagement Director - MMIS (Medicaid Management Information Systems)

• Supporting pre-sales activity including RFI/RFP responses to our State Government clients


• Leading large scale program engagements having end to end accountability for successful program delivery


• Engaging with client leadership to ensure alignment of goals and objectives, communicating program status and managing issues and risks


• Partnering with stakeholders (internal and external to Optum) to ensure proper strategy, plan, alignment, integration and visibility


• Ensuring appropriate program governance structures and processes are in place leveraging best practices to ensure successful program delivery


• Leading, coaching, managing and mentoring program and project managers

• 15 + years of program management experience


• 5 + years track record of leading successful delivery of $25m+ technology programs in the Federal/State/Local Government space


• Demonstrated MMIS expertise


• Previous people leadership and management skills, including direct experience leading, managing and mentoring teams of project and program managers


• Excellent communication, collaboration, team building and relationship management skills in large complex organizations


• Executive presence and ability to interact, collaborate and communicate with senior executives and other stakeholders


• Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time if required


• Prior experience working for a professional services consulting firm desired


• Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experiences; advanced degree preferred
