The newly renovated historic Granville Inn is seeking professional cooks and culinarians to join our team. Positions are available at varied skill and experience levels for several stations in our formal and banquet kitchens. Candidates must have relevant experience with the ability to produce quality and sometimes difficult dishes in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the Chef's high level of standards. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Reports to work on time in assigned uniform.
  • Adheres to company grooming policies.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with all co-workers and supervisors.
  • Responsible for assigned station cleanliness, prep and pars.
  • Demonstrates desire to learn and the ability to retain information.
  • Responsible for cooking food items to order, as trained by Chef and Sous Chefs.
  • Prepares all food according to Chefs recipes.
  • Ensures all products are rotated and dated.
  • Assists co-worked with needed prep.
  • Ensures all product is properly labeled, dated and stored.
  • Aids and assist other areas of the kitchen as needed.
  • Sets up, maintains, breaks down and cleans work station.
  • Serves items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards.
  • Notifies Chefs in advance of expected shortages.
  • Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times.
  • Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by the Chef and Sous Chefs.
  • Ensures station is properly clean and closed at the end of shift.

Requirements

  • Able to lift 50 plus pounds frequently.
  • Stand and walk for long periods of time.
