Project Manager

This project manager is responsible for managing projects related to content development in a training organization and that is a preferred background.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field is highly preferred
Minimum 3 years of project management experience
PMP certification (preferred)
Minimum 3 years of delivery and execution of eLearning project experience (strongly preferred)
Minimum 3 years of experience within pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industry (strongly preferred)


Summary of Responsibilities

The Project Manager will:

* Develop project management deliverables: timelines, project plans, meeting agendas, action items, risks/issues, and meeting summaries - in accordance with or exceeding PM industry standards
* Promote consistency and standardization in execution of project management
* Baseline the project in terms of schedule and be accountable for ensuring the project has a defined scope and is brought in on time, with quality
* Ensure the project has been vetted for acceptance and prioritized as approved
* Prioritize in accordance with Manager direction
* Support strategic direction provided by management
* Ensure that data in relevant applications is populated and maintained in a quality manner
* Assume responsibility to the sponsor/client for the quality of the finished product
* Establish and Implement standards, metrics and best practices and identify efficiencies
* Address work efforts as needed to provide support in the areas of PowerPoint presentations, operational needs, training needs, instructional design needs and day to day needs according to direction.

Planning: Define the scope, create a detailed project plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project, i.e., project plan - with prerequisites and interdependencies; develop a schedule for project completion that results in clear ownership of the activities; and develop project success criteria (what does a successful project result in - and how will that be measured)

Resourcing: Develop needs of resources in terms of skills and timing related to the project team, Identify and escalate any resource gaps, work with the AZ management team to draft preliminary statements of work as to goals of the project to address resource needs

Implementing the project: Execute the project according to the project plan, develop forms and records to document project activities, set up file and structure s to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured, monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project; establish mechanisms and schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project with AZ management alignment; review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards

Controlling and Evaluating the project: Provide weekly dashboard status to AZ manager, Identify risks and suggested mitigations for escalation, Ensure that the project deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality; gather lessons learned and ensure project success criteria is met and pulled through

Vendor Management and Budget: Responsibilities as determined by AZ management team in accordance with the planning and implementation of the project.

Use scheduling, productivity, and communication tools including GANTT charts, spreadsheets, and conferencing technologies
Use Microsoft Office suite proficiently
Use Microsoft Project proficiently (preferred)

Discuss the fundamentals of instructional design (preferred)
Discuss, explain, and/or recommend multimedia and web-based training solutions (preferred)
