POSITION SUMMARY

The Workers' Compensation Field Case Manager is responsible for assessing and analyzing injured employees to evaluate their medical and vocational needs. The Workers Comp Field Case Manager must facilitate the patients' appropriate and timely return to work, acting as a liaison between the patient/family, employer, providers, insurance, and other healthcare personnel. This is a field-based position in Philadelphia, PA with expected travel of 75-100%. Travel is locally-based, and no overnight travel will be required. Candidates located in King of Prussia, Philadelphia, Media, and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply. When not traveling, the candidate will be working from home.

The Workers' Comp Case Manager will:

* Travel daily in the field

* Monitor patient progress towards desired outcomes through ongoing assessment and evaluation

* Communicate both in-person and telephonically with injured workers, medical providers, attorneys, employers, claims examiners and more

* Arrange specialty referrals, consultations, and services that correlate with clinical guidelines to expedite recovery

* Uphold applicable state and federal workers' compensation disability regulatory requirements

* Complete activity reports, Substantiating all case activities carried out and services rendered

REQUIRED BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

* Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of PA required

* Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience (Home health, Orthopedics, Med-Surg, Rehab Facility, etc.)

* Strong computer skills

* Excellent communication skills

* CCM, COHN, CDMS, or CRRN license preferred

* Workers Compensation/ Occupational Health experience preferred

PREFERRED BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

* Workers Compensation/ Occupational Health experience preferred

* CCM, COHN, CDMS, or CRRN license preferred

* Case Management experience preferred

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION

Case Manager works independently both in the home office environment as well as traveling in the field and making visits. The Case Manager sets their own schedule and works independently to reach the goals and the objectives set forth for the job and caseload. Other field Case Managers and the Manager are available for assistance and provide some team work to the position. This is a fast paced environment where the Case Manager can make a difference and each day has new challenges.
