The Program Director, Provider Data Governance is responsible for implementing a data governance strategy across all update processes (feeds, macros, and manual updates) for all platforms within UHC Benefit Operations.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Partner with operations and technology teams to produce detailed documentation on data interactions between all platforms
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase UHC and industry adoption of standard EDI transactions for demographic updates
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase provider data governance with the collaboration and support of the Provider Data Expertise & Enhancements (PDE) team
  • Define, document, and communicate program scope and key milestones to implement the overall vision
  • Build and refine cost/benefit analyses to secure staffing approval and budget adjustments for all impacted areas
  • Prepare and deliver executive communications on the overall strategy, progress towards commitments, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Communicate overall progress and facilitate priority decisions with internal stakeholders and key contributors
  • Provide updates on status to Provider Contract & Data Management (PCDM) Leadership and ensures project progress is on target; coordinate response and appropriate actions if key deliverables are off target
  • Identify both problems and potential solutions for issues that impact the management and direction of the business; this includes enhanced visibility of risks, major milestones, and items PCDM needs to be successful
  • Communicate with Impact - influence and negotiate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders to achieve win-win solutions that advance organizational goals
  • Develop and implement contingency and recovery plans if deliverables are missed (e.g., identify critical path, document, plan for getting back on plan schedule, Business Continuity Plan, failover planning)

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of data analysis and/or audit experience within the healthcare industry
  • 5+ years of experience in managing cross functional projects and making presentations to executive stakeholders
  • 5+ years of experience leading IT programs for large-scale data systems
  • 3+ years of direct experience in an operational team (any position)
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a complex matrix organization
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines
  • Ability to perform tactically, to manage tasks and timelines, and think strategically
  • Strong executive presence, communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven collaborator with strong relationship skills; the ability to influence and lead through others
  • Proven ability to establish trust and build relationships with leaders and experts across an organization
  • Ability to set objectives and goals; detail-oriented and thorough; possesses strong operational disposition

  • Experience working in roles with ambiguity and the need to identify areas of opportunities

  • Ability to convey complex or technical information clearly and concisely, and in a manner that others can understand
