About this job
Prepares food in quantity for regular and modified diets, responsible for supplying prepared food for employee cafeteria line, portion control, and conservation of nutritional values of food. Maintains work area and equipment in a safe and sanitary manner. Preparation and service of safe, attractive and tasty food. Work area meets standards of the health department and safety standards of Lake Wales Medical Center. Supervises activities of food service workers in preparation and service of food to staff, guests and patient meals.
Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent. Must be able to read and converse fluently in English. Completion of courses in food preparation desired.
Experience:
Must have basic knowledge of patient dietary restrictions and basic food preparation. Must be able to deal with people using tact and courtesy.
