Field Interviewer

On behalf of Research Triangle Institute (RTI), Headway Workforce Solutions is looking for Part Time Field Interviewers to work on the Residential Energy Consumption Survey (RECS).

The Field Interviewer (FI) for RECS will be responsible for:

• In person interviewing of selected households. Interview is a 50 minute CAPI interview.
• Measuring interior and exterior space of the selected households.
• Scan energy source statements by using small portable scanner.

Training Requirements for FI:

• Attend paid project training August 17 to 21 in Durham, NC.
• Successful completion of FI training including home-study, project training and pass project certification.
• For Bilingual Spanish-speaking FIs must successfully complete bilingual training and pass the bilingual certification.

Requirements for Interviewing Activity:

• Available for a minimum of 20 non-travel hours per week.
• Available to work four contacting/interviewing hours at a time.
• Available and willing to work primarily evening and weekend hours.
• Meet performance expectations in the areas of efficiency, quality and schedule.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Adhere to all project requirements and protocol.
• Maintain prompt and reliable reporting to FS.
• Knowledge of laptop computer.
• Adhere to all project deadlines.
• Transmit data each day worked.
• Must have broadband or wireless internet.
• Ability to carry study equipment with approximate weight of 15 pounds.
• Ability to climb stairs with equipment.
• Ability to work in all kinds of weather.
• Ability to adapt to various social environments and areas.
