Specialty Coffee Assistant Manager - The Westchester - Full-time / Part-time

A day in the life…

As an assistant manager on our team, you’ll play a dual role — part empowering leader, part consummate teacher. In this role, you’ll…

• Complete a comprehensive Manager in Training program that covers all the in’s and out’s of running a successful coffee bar – from budgeting and invoicing to scheduling and recruiting


• Hire, train, manage and motivate a crew of specialty coffee pros to serve up the Nordstrom experience in every hand-crafted cup of coffee


• Support the success of your coffee bar by keeping the customers happy, complying with company procedures and keeping productivity up and costs down
  

You own this if you…

• Have a high school diploma, or equivalent (preferred)


• Have been there and done that for one to two years in food and beverage service, management, hospitality and/or a retail environment
• Are excited by new ideas and learning new methods and systems.
• Are passionate about specialty coffee, fresh, high-quality food and exceptional customer service
• Have career ambitions in the fast-paced food and beverage industry – next stop, manager…who knows from there!
• Have solid written and verbal communications skills, as well as strong math skills – quick, how many ounces in a bag of coffee?
• Embrace working a flexible schedule
• Are the proud owner of a food handler’s card where required by local and state regulations
