About this job

This position will maintain the dealership's and distributor's accounting systems and financial reports working closely with the General Manager, CFO, and Corporate Controller. Oversees and directs the daily accounting activities of relevant staff, ensuring all tasks are completed timely and accurately. Sets the standards for professionalism and integrity by which the business affairs of the company are conducted.

Responsibilities:
* Hires, trains, manages, and disciplines office staff as needed
* Manages office budget and expenses of dealership
* Creates and maintains procedures for managing office files and records
* Develops, maintains, and enforces all company policies and procedures
* Prepares complete monthly financial statements according to dealership guidelines and within each manufacturer's format and time frame.
* Runs monthly aging reports for both AR, AP, Sales, and Inventory
* Provides timely and accurate reports as required
* Oversees vendor management and outsourcing
* Manages cash and flooring balances
* Interprets the financial statement and daily operating control (DOC) regularly and informs GM/CFO of developing trends.
* Participates in the preparation of short and long-term financial forecasts for the dealership.
* Assists the dealer/GM in the management of the dealership's assets to assure that the business is at all times in a position to meet financial obligations to lenders, creditors, vendors, suppliers and taxing authorities.
* Follows corporate requirements in maintaining a system of internal controls and operating procedures that will foster efficiency, provide useful management information, and protect the assets of the dealership from theft, loss, or unnecessary depreciation.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) and auto industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a high-volume environment
* Manufacturer and related financial statement experience is a plus
* Must be able to work some weekends, some evenings, and be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening
* Valid driver's license with good driving record.
* Requires evening work on the 15th and last day of the month (closing of sales deals and commission schedule preparation).

Compensation: Up to $65K per year

Salary: $65,000.00 /year
