This position is responsible for developing brand standards for all of Harris Teeter’s advertising, marketing and corporate assets. This position will also lead a team of experienced designers. Strong leadership skills are a must along with the ability to support, guide and develop people as well as programs.This position requires a portfolio of published marketing materials as well as examples that show a strong understanding of branding and brand standards. The candidate must also be able to discuss previous experiences and successes of leading a creative team.The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of the above experience and a degree in marketing, advertising or a related field.

Marketing:

Establish strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services. Execute marketing programs that will achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share. Develop and execute online marketing plans and programs, including social media, HT.com and digital advertising that will both establish and maintain the company's brand and presence. Communicate with outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns when needed.

Creative/ Creative Team:

Work closely with graphic artists, writers, and developers in the design, usability and updating of content for electronic and social media marketing. Work closely with designers on creation of all internal and external marketing programs and initiatives. This will include the ability to give strong visual and verbal guidance. Create marketing materials if needed. Develop and maintain brand standards for the company. Develop, train and lead a creative team. This includes but not limited to yearly reviews, disciplinary action and positive support and encouragement.

Research and Analytics:

Analyzes marketing programs and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness. Use market research to identify opportunities for increased sales. Provide post-event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on marketing programs.

Budget/ Fiscal:

Negotiate contract terms with outside agencies and/or suppliers. Work with Director of Advertising on yearly budget. Manage and work to budget.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; 5 years related experience and/or training.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet and PowerPoint. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design. Ability to demonstrate a basic knowledge of editing software helpful.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages one subordinate supervisor who supervises a total of employees. Also directly supervises five non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
