Overview:

Customer Service Representatives answer incoming customer service phone calls related to credit card application requests, account guideline increases, and the approval of sales and checks.They are also responsible for the review, investigation, and determination of action to be taken for all data in fraud queuesas well as other assigned duties.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Answer phone calls from sales associates and customers requesting to open a new credit card account, increase a current account guideline, and approve a sale. Appropriate action must be taken according to the type of call, all while maintaining professional conversation and providing good customer service.
  • Complete account maintenance including address changes, lost/stolen reports, and returned mail.
  • Ensure compliance to adverse action.
  • Review and investigate credit bureau disputes.
  • Receive incoming and make outgoing calls regarding internet orders, mail and phone orders, charge verification, and reviewing and updating account information.
  • Assist customers in order confirmation and account maintenance activity.
  • Research and resolve inquiries via the credit systems and other media to respond to unauthorized activities onaccounts.

Skills Summary:
  • High school diploma or general educationdiploma (GED) required.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, problem solving, analytical, decision-making,follow-up, and organizational skills required.
  • Previous retail selling and customer service experience desired.
  • Computer keyboarding and navigational skills required.
  • Microsoft Office experience a plus.
