Summary: The Childbirth Educator demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in providing education programs for the Childbirth Education Department. Each instructor's knowledge and skills is pertinent to the class(es) she/he is teaching. The Educator works under the supervision of the Childbirth Education Coordinator and the Nurse Manager. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association
1-3 years experience as a Childbirth Educator
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills

Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
