Blo Bar Licensed Cosmetologist - The Grove

The licensed cosmetologist provides a variety of professional styling services for Nordstrom customers. They are motivated, enjoy working one-on-one with customers and have a passion for customer service and developing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and provide thorough consultation of individual needs
• Provide professional styling services (hair or nail, as applicable)
• Achieve service and retail sales goals
• Comply with State Board sanitary requirements, rules and regulations
• Work within your scope of practice as outlined by the State Licensing Board
• Adhere to Nordstrom Spa policies located in the Spa Operations Guide
• Build lasting relationships with customers by contacting them to follow up on services, suggest new merchandise and invite them to upcoming events
• Maintain expert industry knowledge by staying current on new procedures and processes
• Consistently seek new beauty trend and product knowledge to drive sales and service
• Deliver exemplary customer service through strong ownership and professionalism
• Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through relationship-building, reliability and collaboration
• Deliver productivity through the efficient use of time and a commitment to strong results
Qualifications

• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of professional cosmetology (hair or nail) techniques
• Previous experience as a professional stylist or assistant to a stylist preferred
• Proven ability to set and achieve goals
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers and co-workers
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Proof of valid Cosmetology licensing required
