JOB SUMMARY:

Assists the Maitre D' in welcoming and seating guests and ensuring guest satisfaction.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :

* Greets restaurant guests in friendly and courteous manner.

* Arranges for prompt seating of guests in order of arrival, reservation time or availability of seating accommodations.

* Receives, schedules, and records all reservations using the Open Table Reservation System.

* Quotes accurate waiting times, and seats guests when tables are available.

* Assists in identifying casino comps, hotel and VIP Guests for seating; communicates with comp authorizer (signer) regarding any comp charges.

* Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the entire dining area.

* Maintains up-to-date knowledge of entire property and events in order to provide information to the guests.

* Assists in maintaining appropriate levels of Front of House dining area supplies.

* Assists in maintaining appropriate and balanced seating of guests

* Assists in the coordination of the daily floor plan and wait staff stations.

* Provides back-up assistance in initial food and beverage service as necessary.

* Assists in identifying seven stars and diamond players and giving them priority seating and table assignment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

* High School graduate preferred

* Previous experience as a host strongly preferred

* Previous Customer Service experience required

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must be at least 21 years of age

* Literacy and fluency in English

* Computer literate

* Ability to handle difficult guests/situations with tact and diplomacy

* Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations

* Above average communication and interactive skills

* Legible handwriting

* Excellent computer skills

* Excellent guest service skills

* Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

* Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

* Mobility to move quickly and easily throughout the restaurant and kitchen areas

* Ability to grasp, finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination

* Ability to hear and use visual inspection

* Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach and climb stairs

Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy

environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
