Seed Lab Technician needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Jerseyville, IL.
The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- A strong attention to detail and quality control
- A year or more of Microsoft Excel experience
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operating a variety of seed counters in an indoor lab / warehouse setting
- Moving packets or bags of seed to and from the counter
- Sorting packets based on labeled information
- Provide support and assistance to by preparing buffers and reagents, assisting with seed health tests and performing greenhouse work
- Responsible for creation and movement of physical samples.
- Responsible for performing designated physical seed quality analysis.
- Prepare buffers and reagents
- Maintain indicator plants and conduct grow-out assays, inspect, operate, and maintain equipment
- Assist with seed health tests, follow and maintain the ISO Quality Management Standards
- Wear proper PPE and take proper safety precautions while working in the lab
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- HS Diploma or GED
- One (1) year of related experience and / or training
- Must be able to lift a 20 lbs. bag or box several times per hour throughout the day, and may be alternately sitting, standing, or walking throughout the workday

- Associates Degree preferred
