Plumber Helper
Perform skilled work involving plumbing under the direction of area supervisor and/or lead man in assigned department, including but not limited to Water supply line assemblies, DWV line assemblies and common plumbing connection (connection sinks, toilets exc.).
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Essential Job Functions:
- Plays key role in department metrics including safety; cost; quality and delivery.
- Verifies conformance of finished goods.
- Ensures quality in every task performed.
- Builds product to design specification utilizing drawings.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Adheres to all company general and safety policies.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Ability to carry out not only simple but complex oral and written instructions.
- basic math skills
- Ability to read and understand English sufficiently.
- Has done basic plumbing for 2 years
- Ability to operate hand tools including but not limited to drills; grinders; miter saw; rivet guns.
- Ability to comprehend additional training in relation to the performing of the work duties.
- Ability to cross train and perform many different tasks across multiple departments.
- High level of attentiveness and physical coordination to perform the work activities safely and productively.
Job Requirements:
- 2 years MINIMUM experience of basic plumbing
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs, stand most of the day
- Must be able to read a measuring tape
- Must be able to pass a background check
