Grocery Manager - Full-time / Part-time

GROCERY MANAGERS ensure effective and profitable operations of the grocery department through sales maximization and employee growth. Grocery Managers ensure customers receive polite, friendly service; are responsible for scheduling of the department; ensure department is compliant with company standards; trains and develops grocery department employees; and implements and maintains an in-store culture that ensures growth. The Grocery Manager manages grocery inventory and achieves targeted shrink objectives; maintains backroom, coolers, and freezers to standard; and takes complete ownership of the grocery department which includes dairy, frozen, general merchandise, and HBC. In addition, the Grocery Manager works closely with the DSD Receiver, Pricing Coordinator and vendors and performs all other duties as assigned by management. (May include total store coverage responsibility) QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be at least 18 years old • Ability to supervise all employees when performing total store coverage • Ability to lift 40lbs. consistently and 60lbs. occasionally • Ability to read and understand information and direction • 1-3 years of supermarket knowledge • Ability to supervise people, including training and development • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements on the job • Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills • Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate a pallet jack for extended periods of time
