About this job

The Regional Human Resources Generalist will assist and support management with handling various Human Resources activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to monitoring and assisting with hiring events, fielding and responding to team member relations complaints, conducting investigations, and training new team members on HR processes, programs and policies, ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal laws. This position will report directly to the Sr. Regional HR Manager.

Essential Functions

-·         Responsible for guidance to all team members to ensure consistent adherence to HR policies, procedures and practices

  • Recruiting: Sourcing talent and building a network of potential candidates from different markets
  • Training and Development: Coordinate, facilitate and/or assist in all training activities within assigned region
  • Assist SRHRM in the development and implementation of all strategic HR management and company initiatives
  • Employee Relations: Works in partnership with SRHRM to address Team Member relations issues, including harassment allegations, work conditions, etc.
  • Fosters a positive work environment that supports Open Door and pro-active team member relations through company engagement surveys and individual store climate surveys
  • Provide internal management consultation to promote a harmonious working environment with all departments to build effective relationships within the company
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment/labor laws
  • Routinely conducts compliance audits to ensure appropriate practices are adhered to and are consistent from location to location
  • Support New Store Openings and conducts new hire orientations as needed
  • Support Talent Acquisition department planning hiring event in existing stores/markets, interviewing candidates and make hiring recommendations when appropriate
  • Partnership with Support Office Key Business Partners; Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources
  • Administrative support in reviewing and processing terminations, new hire and promotion pay change paperwork
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned
  • Ability to travel regularly to stores within Northern Colorado, Utah and Oklahoma markets and occasional travel to other regions may be requested

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

-       Bachelor Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of Human Resources experience; or an acceptable combination of experience and education

- Retail background or fast pace environment with high clientele volume preferred

-       Must be able to communication across multiple departments and levels of management, both verbal and written skills

-       Must have a high attention to detail

-       Excellent customer service experience required

-       Must have solid decision making skills, including good judgment and deductive reasoning

  • Must be willing and able to manage through ambiguity
  • Must have solid time management/priority setting skills
  • Excellent relationship Building skills. Ability to build partnerships with all levels of organization
  • Must exhibit solid Conflict Management/Problem Solving skills

       Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
