Our client is the world's largest piston pins manufacturer for internal combustion engines and compressor applications.They seek an Applications Engineer to join their thriving company in the greater Chicago region.
Job Summary
The Applications Engineer will perform testing analysis, bench testing, and facilitate product launch activities.Working with key customers:The Big 3 and prominent global automotive manufacturers. This is a mid-level position with future development into management roles within the organization.
Qualifications
* 5+ years with Design/Release responsibility for Core Engine Components.
* Design experience:how to design a power cell relative to piston pins, rings and rods
* Power Cylinder design experience preferred
* Internal Engine components (block, head, crankshaft, cam shaft, etc) preferred
* BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science
* Well versed in PPAP, FMEA, and APQP processes
* Exposure to Six Sigma, DMAIC, SPC or Shanin methodologies
* Travel up to 20%
* U.S. Citizen or Resident - Sponsorship provided
