Responsibilities include front-line performance and relationship management of external vendors within the National Recovery Center. The VendorManagement Associate will be responsible for monitoring vendor quality, compliance, and performance in addition to analyzing trends and makingrecommendations to Senior Management. This position requires 10-20% travel.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Operational Support: Assist Senior Management in developing and conducting tactical and reportingstrategies to support the Vendor Placement department goals (financial, quality, production, customer service, operational efficiency, etc.). Work withSenior Management to develop external vendor performance goals by forecasting and establishing weekly and monthly goals. Communicate relevantstatistical information to business leaders by providing frequent vendor status reports of key findings and performance levels to Senior Management.Act as a liaison between internal department and the vendors to troubleshoot any issues with invoices, inventory, compliance and all other account leveldetail.Vendor Management: Review daily drop results/other metrics and provide coaching strategies to vendors and Senior Management. Monitor vendorcalls for quality; follow up on outstanding compliance issues as necessary. Perform periodic reviews on vendor processes, procedures andperformance metrics. Lead conference calls with vendors to review scorecard results, areas of opportunity and action planning. Conduct vendor sitevisits as deemed necessary to ensure optimal level of vendor engagement on all aspect of Discover Card accounts.Vendor Analysis: Develop, maintain, and generate reports illustrating data requested by Senior Management, such reports include: Scorecards, YouveGot Claims - Inactivity Report, Channel performance metrics, Calibrate call quality, Review large amounts of historical data, analyze, draw conclusionsand make recommendations that address and/or capitalize on trends, Review of the daily drop statistics including comparative analysis to factors suchas seasonality, competition and goals. Work closely with Senior Management to identify and maximize opportunities to use information, technology, andreporting to improve performance and business processes. Analyze vendor activities and trends and compare analyses against the standards and bestpractices. Present findings to Senior Management to identify and implement strategies that will impact tactical and strategic goalsPromote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards andprocesses.

Qualifications
