U-HAUL is currently seeking Area Field Managers to join our team in New Orleans, LA.

Summary

Area Field Managers effectively service U-HAUL(R) rental equipment and dealers at dealerships on an assigned route. The most qualified candidate would have significant experience managing a team while staying upbeat, building team morale, and recognizing a job well done. A strong working knowledge of the transportation industry is highly valued.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

-Manages and directs a network of Independent U-Haul Dealers.
-Oversees a group of Independent U-Haul Dealers in specified geographical areas.
-Provides guidance and direction to obtain goals and procedures that are set by the Marketing Company President.
-Gathers data and writes reports reports to determine new growth within the specified geographical area in order expand the area with new Independent U-Haul Dealers.
-Networks and builds relationships to expand the Independent U-Haul Dealers as well maintain current relationships.
- Creates marketing strategies to determine where there is potential for new growth.
-Performs any other delegated duties considered appropriate in order to maintain the efficient running of the Department

Minimum requirements:

-Must be proficient with all MS Office Suites and work with spreadsheets
-Valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record to operate motor vehicles with both types of transmission (automatic or standard)
-Selling and marketing to outside vendors
-Dispatching and receiving rental items
- Performs installations of hitches on cars and trucks
-Previous storage facility management experience is preferred
-Previous experience in retail and customer service
-Retail open and close operation
-Parts inventory and order processing
-Monitors expenses for budgets as well as auditing
-Marketing, Reservations, Credit & Collection, Telemarketing

Education

High School diploma
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
