PURPOSE:

To provide daily leadership and supervision to residential Field Supervisors or Contract Management Supervisors to ensure high quality customer service and workmanship to residential customers.

SUPERVISES:

Contractor Management Supervisors

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific to oversight of In-house (when assigned)

Manages, interviews, selects, trains, promotes, schedules, motivates, evaluates and disciplines Technical Operations personnel.

Assists in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures and creation and monitoring of the department's capital and operational budgets.

Develops and analyzes departmental reports related to productivity and quality control. Conducts time/motion studies and determines appropriate work units assignments.

Coordinates training for new services and equipment with other departments.

Acts as liaison and establishes effective communication flow with inter-company departments on projects/issues.

Oversees Residential Technical Operations projects to ensure that projects are progressing on time and within budget.

Administers the installation schedule for the Residential Technical Operations Department and reviews monthly productivity and materials usage reports to gauge expenses and control costs.

Specific to oversight of Contractors (when assigned)

Communicates with applicable City government personnel to resolve customer service complaints which have been filed with the City;

Participates in negotiation of Vendor installation contracts;

Communicates TWC manpower requirements, and activity forecasts for market, truck-yards, and management area.

Sets direction on long-term growth, or decrease for each Contractor company based on performance results. Conducts quarterly performance and operations review with contractor's leadership.

Reviews, approves, and tracks invoicing and monitors accruals, comparing actuals to forecast. Sets direction for CMT Supervisors to improve compliance and performance.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports company's policies and procedures including AA/EEO goals

Create a positive and respectful relationship with all colleagues

Shares information with Security Department related to theft of cable service and authorizes disconnection of illegal cable service.

Must be able to travel as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Possess excellent customer service, work ethic, superior presentation skills, strong leadership qualities and personal initiative.

Minimum two years' experience as a residental service technician required.

4 plus years previous supervisory/managerial experience; p

referably overseeing multiple contract companies in the cable television, telephone or communications industries required.

Must have experience utilizing a personal computer. CSG experience preferred.

A high school diploma or equivalent required.

Customer service, supervisory and management course work strongly preferred.

Experience managing outside residential technical operations contract employee companies.

Must possess strong organizational and motivational skills including the ability to effectively and efficiently prioritize work.

Possess strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to build teams and motivate an organization to achieve sustained superior performance through effective problem solving, team building, training, recognition and coaching.

Possess a strong, analytical working knowledge of operations, finance and expense management.

Possess a strong knowledge of budget development and project management including the ability to interpret and dissect business and financial analysis.

Possess a working knowledge of all tools, test equipment and cable materials utilized by Residential Technical Operations personnel required.

Must be able to identify training needs, prepare training materials and present information in a comprehensive manner.

Maintain effective working relationships with different levels of employees in different departments throughout the company, including, but not limited to, co-workers, subordinates and management staff.

Capable of interpreting company policies and procedures to implement accordingly.

Possess a strong, analytical working knowledge of operations, finance and expense management.

Possess a strong knowledge of budget development and project management including the ability to interpret and dissect business and financial analysis.

May be required to successfully complete and maintain the licensing process with the applicable state regulatory agency which oversees certification to install and service home security systems. Licensing includes fingerprint capture and successful completion of an extensive background check.

Possess strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to build teams and motivate an organization to achieve sustained superior performance through effective problem solving, team building, training, recognition and coaching.

Strong interpersonal skills required. Must be able to project a positive company image, interact professionally with customers, subordinates, vendors, and all levels of company management and maintain confidentially at all times

Ability to communicate with and diffuse difficult/angry customers. Possess strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Possess basic math skills and a working knowledge of business mathematics. Must be able to calculate algebraic formulas and apply them to electronics.

Must be able to analyze workflow and draw valid conclusions and interpret technical instructions and diagrams.
