O&H Danish Bakery, a fourth-generation family-owned business, is seeking an experienced Third Shift Production Manager to lead a team of bakers in Racine, WI. At O&H Danish Bakery, we strive to make working for our company a great experience. We are seeking candidates who love to work in the baking industry and pride themselves on making quality bakery every day. The ideal candidate must be organized, people-oriented, self driven, creative, and has the ability to lead a team of workers and maintain a high level of quality in everything they do. Prior experience in baking and management is required. Must have prior experience mixing and adjusting baking formulas from scratch and an understanding of basic ingredients and their functions in baking. The candidate should have the desire to expand their knowledge in the baking industry and equip others to succeed.
This role will provide leadership to the baking production team, working closely with other department leads. This role will direct and coordinate baking efficiently and effectively with the goal of continuous improvement. If you have the following skills set, we would love to hear from you:
* Extensive experience in the baking industry
* Management experience
* Experience in developing baking formulas from scratch
* An understanding of ingredients and their functions within baking
* Quality minded, understanding the importance of producing a high quality bakery for our customers
* Works well under pressure and has the ability to coordinate production to fulfill orders with short notice and prioritizing items based on delivery times
* Organized, people-oriented, self driven, creative, and the ability to lead, manage and teach a team of workers.
* Communicates well for training and directing purposes
* Trained in HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices
* Flexible schedule / working long hours as required
* Required to work the days leading up to all holidays, including (but not limited to) Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July.
* Driven to succeed
* Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Full time. Weekends and flexible schedule required. Overtime hours are likely. Reports to the Operations Manager.
