POSITION PURPOSE - The DesignConnect Service Expeditor is part of a central design team located at The Home Depot store support center in Atlanta, GA. The DesignConnect team has the ability to engage and support customers on-line, in home and in the store.

The DesignConnect Service Expeditor supports customers with expert kitchen and countertop consultation and professional sales support.  The DesignConnect Service  Expeditor is responsible for qualifying our kitchen customers and then delivering that information to our team of designers,  ensuring  all customers receive a differentiated customer experience.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Meet customer requirements in a positive and professional manner by answering customer inquiries and resolving problems between service providers, vendors and customers; take appropriate action to resolve issues; maintain customer contact throughout or installation cycle.
- Process measure requests and update measure results; process all install-related hot notes .
- Communicate and manage change orders; coordinate receipt of material, installer pick-ups, scheduling of work; facilitate communication with PCC.
- Assign installer based on capacity and project scope; maintain system records by updating installation schedules, ship dates, and customer communication notes.
- Distribute thank you/warranty cards to customer; audit store special order and installation process; identify and initiate installation chargebacks.
- Process re-works and re-orders; work with special service and balance due associates to process related requests.
- Maintain file system, monitor data and other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

NATURE AND SCOPE
- Typically reports to Customer Service Center Supervisor.
- This position has no direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionableMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be eighteen years of age
- Must pass the Drug Test
- Be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Successfully complete any required training or orientation courses
- Must pass the Background Check
- Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
- Kitchen showroom experience
- Kitchen cabinet and countertop product knowledge

- PC Skills; Windows, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office
- Time management and organizational skills
- Oral and written communication skills
