Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Hesperia Family Medicine - Full-time / Part-time

Responsible for managing patients and coordinating the services provided by multiple disciplines within and outside the health system. Maintains a collaborative practice agreement with specific physician(s). Exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of selected protocols/procedures. Provides educational support for patients/significant others, health team members and the community and coordinates QA/QI studies to measure outcomes of care.

Physician Assistant:

Job Requirements: Knowledgeable of the laws of the State of Michigan in regards to clinical activities and the Code of Ethics of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Licensed as a Physicians Assistant in Michigan. Maintenance of CPR certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support as appropriate for patient population. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program. Current NCCPA certification.

Nurse Practitioner:

Job Requirements: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Master's Degree in Nursing/health related field. Certified and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner by the State of Michigan. Advanced Cardiac Life Support as appropriate for patient population. At least three years current, relevant clinical experience. Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred. Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role. Knowledge of computers required.
