The Orthopedics Department is seeking an NP or PA for Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, MN.
Position Details:
- Full scope of orthopedic practice
- Dedicated time for Clinic, Hospital, and first assist in Operating Room
Clinic: 2-3 days per week
Operating Room: 2-3 days per week
Hospital: Daily rounding on post-op patients and seeing consults in the Emergency room and inpatient settings
- Work in collaboration with other established medical specialties- Spine Center, PM & R, and Pain Medicine

Basic Qualifications:
Experience is preferred. Master's Degree in Nursing required for NP, Doctorate of Nursing Practice preferred or Master's preferred, Baccalaureate Degree accepted and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current certification by the NCCPA.
Other Qualifications:
Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and interdependently with other health care professionals. Have extensive patient assessment skills using diagnostic methods and instruments and possess ability to develop appropriate plan of care, modifying as indicated. Possess effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with patients, families and members of health care team.
License or Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Registered Nursing (RN) License or Physician Assistant (PA) license in state of Minnesota and NCCPA certification required

Exemption Status: Exempt
Hours/Pay Period: Full Time
Schedule Details: Monday -- Friday plus on call responsibilities
Weekend Schedule: On call 1 in 5 weekends
Compensation Detail: Salaried - Experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
