The Senior Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for planning, creating, and producing marketing communications/promotional materials to implement product marketing strategies and sales objectives. Coordinates activities involved in the preparation of advertising, sales promotion and publicity in support of the marketing of company products. Consults with product management, sales and internal/external organizations to develop and implement plans. The candidate is also required to attend community events. The candidate should be bilingual, Spanish speaking due to the large Spanish speaking population insured by the Delaware Health plan. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies to improve branding and visibility of the UnitedHealth Group plan in Delaware. Candidate will be attending community events and manage external relationship.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing OR a High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of Communications, Public Relations or Marketing experience.
  • Must already be living in Delaware to be considered, or experience working in the Delaware market.
  • Ability to travel 25% within the State of Delaware
  • Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • 3+ years of Communications, Public Relations or Marketing experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working with projects within a matrix organization.
  • 5+ years experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • SalesForce experience.
