Oracle Applications Engineer
Description

The Oracle Applications Engineer is responsible for the recommendation and implementation of IT projects that develop new or enhanced functionality. S/He also supports and troubleshoots all aspects of Oracle applications and databases, as well as providing support and issue resolution for these applications.


In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Systems Analysis/Implementation
• Analyzing, designing, evaluating, modifying, testing and implementing enterprise wide systems (e.g., Oracle Financials R12 and PL SQL-dependent systems) across functional areas as well as providing Tier II support for these systems
• Performing feasibility studies of potential software applications and preparing design proposals that reflect cost, time, and alternative actions to satisfy existing and future needs of the business
• Conducting analyses of system specifications by using analysis and diagramming tools that represent business and technical processes
• Developing conversion and system implementation plans; preparing and obtaining approval of system and programming documentation
• Reviewing current status of system applications and preparing recommendations for system improvements
• Training users in the conversion and implementation of systems
• Implementing functional solutions or features within the Oracle Applications E-Business Suite
• Providing premier customer support for users of the Oracle Applications and logging support cases with either AT&T or Oracle Support in order to quickly resolve issues

Miscellaneous
• Executing projects within the IT Project Guidelines and ensuring adherence to the project approval/prioritization process and related documentation
• Managing miscellaneous projects as needed (e.g. Accounting Tools, B2B Integration Software, other custom Accounting-related tools)

The ideal candidate will:

• Have knowledge of and the ability to use a PC, Microsoft Window and Office Suite
• Possess a strong understanding of Oracle PL/SQL packages and procedures, Oracle Application Framework, Java Script, HTML, and CSS
• Have experience in the implementation, development and support of Oracle E-business suite including the GL, AP, FA, PO and Projects applications
• Be experiences with using Oracle Application System Administrator
• Have a working knowledge of XML and XSLT, web development technologies, .NET, and C#
• Have experience using UNIX/Linux command line
• Possess a basic understanding of SSH, AS2, SFTP, and FTP protocols
• Have experience with Oracle BI Discoverer administration and report writing
• Be able to multi-task and serve as a project lead or team player in a fast-paced environment with the ability to jump in and help out in areas outside of expertise if necessary
• Be able to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Have an advanced technical degree in a related field with five (5) years of experience, or an equivalent in education and experience; three (3) or more years of experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle databases preferred
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
