About this job
1. Runs EKG tracings and verifies proper lead placement.
2. Reviews EKG equipment for proper function.
3. Monitors EKG for Abnormal patterns.
4. Maintains adequate supply of paper and electrodes on the machines.
5. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.
6. Assists Cardiology Technician with Holter Monitors, Stress Test, and Event Monitors.
7. Maintains a thorough knowledge of all departmental forms, logs, computer processes, and charging of tests.
8. Files reports in department according to department procedures.
9. Manages and operates EKG equipment safely and correctly.
10. Inspects cardiology equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
11. Prepares EKGs for physician interpretation.
12. Distributes EKGs to proper clinical areas.
13. Actively participates in performance improvement processes.
Successful candidate will have completed EKG course ; Six months experience as EKG Technician or Telemetry Tech, preferred. Must obtain and maintain CPR according to CCH Policy. Basic Computer skills. Must be able to work on smoke-free campus.
Schedule is part-time, as needed; will include weekends and nights.
