Conifer Health Solutions is currently hiring for a Training & Development Specialist.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide legal support to the Conifer Law Department under the direction and supervision of the Chief Legal Officer, representing and responding to the needs of the Company. General responsibilities include acting as liaison between the legal department and the company's operating units, administrative and other departments, employees, outside counsel, regulatory agency representatives and other individuals and vendors outside of Conifer in accomplishing departmental and specific project goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned .

Support and review of materials relating to various legal projects including, but not limited to, Coordination of Benefits (COB) and Letter of Protection (LOP) account support, review of counsel invoices, allocation of legal invoices, and review and follow up on bankruptcy and class action filings and interaction with retained counsel.

Filing and archiving of documents for case files and state agencies for collection agency licensing, accepting legal delegations and noting in the legal support system where the accounts are being assigned and uploading documents .

Sorting, scanning , and distribution of legal mail and self pay account support, to include receipt and preparation for posting of payments, review and allocation of counsel invoices, and reconciliation of record retention invoices.

Legal check requests including requests for settlement fees, TPA, UR, CFC and city/county licensing fees.

General assistance for all attorneys and special projects as needed in support of various operating groups within Conifer

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

An understanding of and experience with legal processes and systems and familiarity with basic legal and litigation concepts and legal support functions..

Computer knowledge: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Effective communications internally and externally

Demonstrate a positive attitude, the ability to work with others and a desire to learn

Identify, coordinate and optimize resources needed to execute plans; and modify goals and plans, when needed

A team player who can multi-task, with strong organizational abilities

Ability to work in fast pace environment

Must have demonstrated ability to learn within a short period of time

Ability to work independently

Must be able to lift at least 10 pounds

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.

High school or equivalent.

1-2 years of administrative and legal experience.

Health care administrative experience preferred, but not required.
