PepsiCo has deployed a suite of software tools to make up the Global/Enterprise Transportation Management Systems (ETMS/gTMS) in the North America and Global Sectors. Over the past 10 years, PepsiCo has deployed and extended the Enterprise Transportation Management (ETMS) to North America food and beverage supporting the FLNA, Quaker, Tropicana, PAB and PBC divisions. Recently, ETMS was extended to manage all transportation activities for PepsiCo's brokerage business, PepsiCo Logistics Company, which supports transportation for our customers and key joint-ventures (i.e. Sabra).
In the past few years, BIS and PepsiCo Global Operations have expanded to leverage a simplified toolset of the JDA packaged software, Transportation Manager & Planner, integrated into global sectors known as Global Transportation Management (gTMS). Today, these systems and our team manages/optimizes over $1.8B of PepsiCo's transportation annual business including private Over-the-Road (OTR) shipments, 3rd party carriers, and even rail distribution.
The GTMS/ETMS program will include significant project expansion in for 2015-2016:
Further new market expansions within each sector (i.e. Thailand, Russia, Iberia, Chile, Venezuela, and etc.)
Continuous Improvements to custom PepsiCo application for transportation
Improvement in data integration with legacy/SAP systems
Accountabilities:
Facilitates requirements gathering sessions with the business SMEs
Documents detailed business process procedures (BPPs)
Documents end-to-end descriptions of all activities being transformed
Works with the business to confirm solution requirements
Responsible for the collection/refinement of business/functional/non-functional requirements as part of the Project Life-Cycle Methodology (PLM)
Ensure requirements traceability throughout Blueprint, Design, Construct, and Test phases of the project life-cycle
Lead testing coordination and execution efforts providing direction to other team members and project resources (including contractors)
Manages several small projects with limited dependencies or one medium sized project; work planning, risk management, issues reporting, etc.
Creates and maintains project management deliverables for the project including workplans, project timeline, project charter, risk / issues / change management and lessons learned
Provides project management services for the delivery manager or sponsor to enable project business solution delivery
Responsible for communication and change management for the project stakeholders
Support overall gTMS program manager including:
Providing input and guidance to project team on best practices for application of proven PLM approaches and tools
Supporting project schedules for team deliverables and helping identify risks
Partner with business team in design of system improvements to be delivered to the business globally
For Internal Reference: PJM2 or BAN2
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Science
Work Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of project experience with application/software implementation
Requirements documentation/gathering experience required
Testing and Test Planning experience required
Project experience
Experience working directly with business teams
Experience working with managed services model/vendor teams
SAP experience/business knowledge is preferred
Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain business knowledge is preferred
Skills and Capabilities:
