This is an exciting time to join Honeywell in South Bend, Indiana as an Electrician. Relocation is available for this position.
Key Responsibilities for the Electrician include:
The Electrician diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, constructs, modifies, assembles, calibrates, installs, and maintains electrical and electronic high or low voltage circuitry systems and equipment
Work includes CNC machines and programmable logic controllers and involves performing program edits as necessary to complete the work
Installs conduit from machines to power sources.
Sizes wire to meet current and voltage requirements.
Installs new wiring for plant, office and equipment expansions
Installs, repairs and maintains electrical heating elements in chrome tanks, water heaters, and non-bricked in heating elements in furnaces/ovens.
Retrofits the electrical components of plant machines and equipment if a production process or modification has been made.
Tools used in the performance of tasks includes, but not limited to, pliers, wire strippers, channel locks and laptop computer
Uses HOS tools and contributes to continuous improvement processes
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Journeyman card or 8 years of equivalent experience working as industrial Electrician or in the electronics field; in lieu of experience, 6 years combined experience with a technical degree or equivalent military experience may be considered
Candidates must satisfactorily complete pre-employment requirements such as a background check, drug screen, and meet the physical requirements of this position.
Additional Qualifications:
Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, weekends and OT as needed.
Qualified candidates should have strong electrical, electronics, and mechanical skills.
Knowledge of programmable machine controls, hydraulics and pneumatics
Applicants should be able to read blueprints and have solid troubleshooting and repair skills.
