This job of Floater could encompass up to all three sets of job responsibilities withinthe distribution center – Selector, Loader, and Forklift Replenisher.

Selector -
Summary: Responsible to select product, withinestablishment guidelines for shipment to stores, in a safe, accurate andefficient way by performing the following duties. Must ensure that finishedpallets are placed in the proper loading area and that records of outed productand daily production are maintained.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Read customer order to determine itemsto be moved, gathered, or distributed.

Convey product from storage area todesignated shipping areas.

Sort and place product or items onpallets or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, orproduct code.

Fill requisitions or requests forstock items.

Assemble customer orders from stockand places orders on pallets or shelves ensuring that product is not damaged.

Shrink wrap product on palletaccording to procedure.

Mark products or items withidentifying information.

Use computer to enter records.
Compile information to complete creditmemo regarding items and quantity from customer specifications.

Drive vehicle to transport storeditems from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations forshipment.

Perform additional job functions asrequested by supervisor

Follow company's attendance policy

Follow company's safety policies andprocedures.

Loader -
Summary: Responsible for safe, accurate, and efficientloading of finished pallets of product onto assigned trailers for delivery tothe retail stores.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

Read load sheet or follow oralinstructions to ascertain materials or pallets to be moved.
Prepare for assignment of doors andloads.

Conduct daily operator checklist -Powered Industrial Equipment Inspection.

Load materials into trailer perpolicies and procedures and install strapping, bracing, or padding to preventshifting or damage to product in transit.

Place load lock in proper location ontrailer and put invoices in trailer before finalizing load.

Ensure that all cube break selectingtags and the trailer numbers are recorded on the door sheet.

Transfer store number and trailer numberof finished loads to the daily load sheet.

Notify dispatch when a store load iscomplete in MDS to have the switcher move trailer from door.

Ensure trailers are properlyrestrained and chocked.

Operate industrial pallet jack toassist in loading or moving materials and products.

Complete product handbills whennecessary.

Clean and straighten assigned loadingdock area before leaving daily.

Forklift Replenisher-

Summary: Responsible forreplenishing empty or near-empty selecting slots insuring that product isproperly rotated. Drive electric powered industrial truck equipped with liftingdevices such as forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products,equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities: Other duties may beassigned.

Movelevers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of liftingapparatus.

Positionforks under, over, or around loaded pallets, boxes, products, or materials, andtransports load to designated area.

Unloadand stack product by raising and lowering lifting device.

Loador unload materials onto or of pallets.

ReferenceRFS computer and/or appropriate computer printout to find overhead location ofitem which needs to be replenished.

Removeneeded product from overhead slot and place in appropriate selecting slot usingthe standard methods for replenishment.

Recordappropriate information in RFS computer concerning replenished product.

Returnempty pallets from selecting slots to dock stack 16" high.

Removeplastic wrap, string or tape from selection slots.

Seperatechep, regular, and plastic pallets from slots.

Keepwork area clean and clear of debris.

Place"lost" cases in correct locations as needed.

Followthrough with additional requests by supervisor

Followcompany's attendance policy.

Followcompany's safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, anindividual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general educationdegree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, anindividual should have knowledge of Warehouse management system (Triceps), VLMTime System, Forklift RF Unit, Triceps Scan Station.

Certificates and Licenses:
Ability to pass forklift certification.

Other Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age
Must comply with Company dress code

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simpleinstructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one to otheremployees of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbersand to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform theseoperations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, anddistance.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understandingto carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability todeal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardizedsituations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
