Job Responsibilities:



  • Acts as a liaison between various business partners within the organization

  • Create, develop and execute processes for coding and standard documentation guidelines

  • Be familiar standard requirements of electronic health record (EHR) systems and/or electronic medical record (EMR) systems

  • Ability to manage educational barriers and challenges to provide a positive outcome

  • Analyzes results and identifies patterns, trends and variations in coding and documentation practices

  • Create, develop and execute policies and procedures

  • Create, develop and execute health related materials

  • Provide guidance and coaching to coding educators and physicians

  • Create, develop and execute professional standard formats of  power point presentations  to present to leadership, medical directors and local provider community

  • Ability to research and provide dependable coding resources approved by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services

  • Ability to maintain and interpret coding conventions, updates and apply federal and state coding guideline standards to ensure accurate documentation and coding

  • Ability to sustain level of coding accuracy to support other departmental needs

  • Able to multitask thoroughly in high stress, and fast moving environment.

  • Basic, structured, standard approach to work

Requirements


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or HS diploma/GED with 2+ years of equivalent Coding experience.

  • 2+ Years of Healthcare coding and documentation experience

  • 2+ Years Provider Relations experience

  • Must have 1 of the following: CPC, CCS-P, CRC, COC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, LVN, LPN, and/or RN

  • Must have previous experience and understand the operations of a physician practice and/or physician group

  • Must be willing to travel 80% to 100% within your assigned territory

  • Must have reliable transportation,with a valid driver's license and insurance

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous project management experience

  • Previous experience in tracking and planning projects
