Do you have a background in finance or accounting? Manpower, Inc. of SE Michigan is seeking a variety of skilled individuals to provide financial support to premier companies across Washtenaw and Monroe Counties. Many positions are full-time, long-term, offer competitive pay, and may lead to direct hire! Finance/accounting professionals perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to: * Using software programs and applications to create and maintain spreadsheets and reports, process accounts payable and accounts receivable, and process payroll. * Reviewing invoices and check requests and entering invoices into the system. * Sorting and matching invoices to open purchase orders. * Preparing and processing accounts payable check runs. * Resolving invoice discrepancies. * Corresponding with vendors and/or customers and responding to inquiries. * Assisting in month-end closings. * Processing payroll for employees, making any applicable deductions and/or garnishments and serving as a first point of contact for questions/issues. * Preparing and maintaining standard and ad-hoc reports and queries. * Providing any other accounting/financial support as needed to teams, departments, managers and other staff. Preferred qualifications: * Previous experience in an accounting or finance role. * Strong analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills and abilities. * Excellent attention to detail. * Ability to work with highly confidential information. * Ability to work across teams and departments, with all levels of an organization. * Educational experience such as having taken business courses or earned an associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or certification (preferably in accounting or finance). * Knowledge of a diverse assortment of software programs, applications, and systems such as Excel, QuickBooks, Peachtree SAP, ADP, and Ceridian.
